60.48 kWp / 50 kVA SOLAR PV ROOFTOP SYSTEM
Perdaman Advanced Energy (PAE) was engaged by the City of Gosnells to design, supply, and install three small-scale rooftop solar PV systems across key community facilities, reinforcing the City’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy adoption.
In November 2016, two of the sites – Amherst Village Community Centre and Thornlie Public Library – were commissioned, each featuring a 30.24 kWp / 25 kVA system designed to meet their similar consumption patterns.
| Site Name | System Size | Panels Used | Inverter Used |
| Amherst Village Community Centre | 30.24 kWp/25 kVA | 96 X Suntech Power Suntech (315 W) | 1 X SMA Sunny Tripower STP
25000TL-30 (25 kVA) |
| Thornlie Public Library | 30.24 kWp/25 kVA | 96 X Suntech Power Suntech (315W) | 1 X SMA Sunny
Tripower STP 25000TL-30 (25 kVA) |
To ensure the systems continue to operate at peak performance, the City also entrusted PAE with quarterly and annual preventive maintenance services, which included comprehensive PV array inspections, performance testing, and professional cleaning of the solar panels across both sites, thereby maximizing energy generation, system longevity, and return on investment.
1. Amherst Village Community Centre

30.24 kWp / 25 kVA SOLAR PV ROOFTOP SYSTEM
Perdaman Advanced Energy (PAE) was engaged by the City of Gosnells to design, supply, and install a 30.24 kWp / 25 kVA rooftop solar PV system at the Amherst Village Community Centre, with the project successfully commissioned in November 2016.
The system comprises 96 high-efficiency Suntech 315 W panels integrated with a single SMA Sunny Tripower 25 kVA inverter, delivering seamless operation and long-term reliability. Following implementation, a post-performance analysis revealed that the Amherst Village Community Centre solar PV system, installed, achieved a 20% higher energy yield than initially forecast, demonstrating the quality of design and installation.
The Amherst Village system generates approximately 54,550 kWh of clean energy annually, offsetting around 43,640 kg of CO₂ emissions each year. This reduction is equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of approximately 2,000 mature trees, reinforcing the City’s commitment to sustainability, climate action, and long-term energy efficiency.
2. Thornlie Public Library

30.24 kWp / 25 kVA SOLAR PV ROOFTOP SYSTEM
Perdaman Advanced Energy (PAE) was engaged by the City of Gosnells for the design, supply, and installation of a 30.24 kWp / 25 kVA rooftop solar PV system at the Thornlie Public Library, with the project successfully commissioned in November 2016.
The installation features 96 high-efficiency Suntech 315 W panels connected to a single SMA Sunny Tripower 25 kVA inverter, ensuring seamless integration and reliable performance. Following implementation, a post-performance analysis revealed that the Thornlie Public Library solar PV system, installed, achieved a 15% higher energy yield than initially forecast, demonstrating the quality of design and installation.
This system generates approximately 53,781 kWh of renewable energy annually, resulting in an estimated reduction of 43,025 kg of CO₂ emissions per year. The environmental impact is comparable to the carbon absorption of around 1976 mature trees, supporting the City’s commitment to sustainability and climate action.
