855.289 kWp / 781 kVA SOLAR PV ROOFTOP SYSTEM

Perdaman Advanced Energy (PAE) was engaged to deliver the full engineering, procurement, construction, and management (EPCM) of a large-scale 855.289 kWp rooftop solar PV system for Christ Church Grammar School.

The system comprises 2,495 high-efficiency SunPower panels integrated with 28 SolarEdge inverters of varying configurations, ensuring maximum energy yield and long-term reliability.

The installation was delivered in two stages. In 2018, an initial 669.369 kWp / 581 kVA system was installed to meet the school’s daily energy requirements and sustainability objectives. As energy consumption grew over the following three years, a further 185.92 kWp / 200 kVA was added in Stage 2, bringing the total system capacity to 855.289 kWp / 781 kVA.

  • Panels – 2495 X SunPower
  • Inverters – 28 X Solar Edge 17 kVA/25 kVA/27.6 kVA/50 kVA

Delivering a system of this scale on an operational school campus presented several key challenges. The complexity of coordinating works across multiple roof structures of varying ages and materials required detailed structural assessments and precision strategies. The installation needed to be carefully staged to minimize disruption to students and staff, particularly around high-traffic areas and school schedules. Weather interruptions and constrained working hours also necessitated careful scheduling and resource management.

The project qualifies for annual LGC claims. PAE manages the lodgment process each year, securing ongoing financial benefits for the client. PAE also provides Annual Maintenance Contracts, ensuring the system continues to operate at peak performance throughout its lifespan, incorporating SolarEdge’s advanced real-time monitoring platform. This enables granular visibility of system performance, early detection of anomalies, and proactive maintenance interventions ensuring the system consistently operates at peak performance.

Christ Church Grammar School benefits from a robust, high-efficiency solar generation solution that delivers significant reductions in grid reliance.
